Often associated with luxury hotel rooms, underfloor heating is becoming more commonplace in our homes as installation costs fall. It works at a lower temperature to that of conventional radiators, allows you more space, gives an even distribution of heat and will heat a larger area.
Air Source Heat Pumps
Air source heat pumps can give you lower fuel bills, can heat your home as well as your water, eliminates the need for fuel deliveries if you're off grid and can earn you additional income through the UK government Renewable Heat Incentive. Lowers your carbon footprint too!
Solar Hot Water Systems
Solar water systems use free heat from the sun to warm your domestic hot water. Once installed it is relatively maintenance free but should be checked regularly for anti-freeze leaks. You'll need about 5 sq metres of roof space which faces east to west through south. Call Adam for more details.
Ground Source Heat Pumps
As the name suggests, heat is absorbed from the ground as opposed to the air but gives you the same benefits as air source heat pumps. You will need an area of garden to bury what's called the ground loop but a free consultation will establish whether your property is suitable.
